Week 2 - The Sacral Chakra

I feel, I want


The Sacral Chakra - Swadhisthana
Located in your lower abdomen and genital area, this chakra has power over your emotions, sexuality and feelings of intimacy.

Balancing this chakra helps your lower vertebrae, large intestines, pelvis, urinary tract and sexual organs. Healing this chakra helps your body regulate water retention, elimination, your sense of self and your ability to feel joy and pleasure.

Challenges for the week:
  1. Eat more orange
    • oranges
    • carrots
    • orange sqaush varieties
    • peaches 
    • orange capsicum/peppers 
    • sweet potatoes 
    • cantaloupe
    • pumpkin
    • orange habanero peppers
  2. Wear orange 
  3.  Describe your worst addiction. Think about ways you can overcome it or control it to improve your health and well-being. 
  4. Each morning, list 5 things you can do to become a happier person. They can be the same each day, but writing them each time will help you commit to them. 
  5. Meditate on the most important item in your list from point 4 above. Which of these things do you think will have the most advantage in your life? Which will bring you the most happiness?
  6. Listen to sacral chakra binaural beats 
  7. Close your eyes and envision a warm comforting, orange glow in your lower abdomen area. Imagine it starts small and grows to fill your entire abdomen, giving you a feeling of peace and happiness as it does so. 

Challenges for your relationship this week:
  1. Spend 15 minutes cuddling with your spouse without the TV going or any other distractions. Just cuddle. The intent is to feel intimate without being sexual.
  2. Talk about a time your spouse made you angry. Why were you angry? Discuss the feeling and how you both can work to avoid it in the future.
  3. What can you do to become more creative in your relationship?
  4. What can you do to be able to spend more quality time together?

  1. Love this..I have always been interested in chakras and am a 3rd level reiki practioner but still find it difficult to meditate for long. Would love to try this.
