A Whole New Me - And a Little Work For You

When I chose the name "White Bhabi" I really had no idea that men the world over had taken an innocent name and turned it into a purely filthy reference. This has recently been pointed out to me and quite frankly I'm a little tired of random men coming here looking for sex and pitching a fit when they don't agree that something about India is less that perfect. And just a tiny mini rant before I go on - it's wrong that any endearing term for women be turned into or thought of as purely a sexual reference. That includes "aunty" which I'm also told is a sexual reference for Indian men online and more. I won't even type up all the thoughts that are in my mind over this. If you want a slut, search for sluts, not a sister-in-law (bhabi) or aunty.

And thank you to the men who do comment on my blog that realize this kind of objectification of women and terms related to them is not what this blog is about. I do have some great commenters here that are Indian men who don't have this archaic and chauvinistic pig mentality. Thank you Magguu, Piere, Knut, Sub, Gill, Gaurab, DK, Naren, Oberoivarun, Gautam, and any other decent male commenter I missed for not being the type of man that acts that way. We may not always agree on things but I appreciate that you don't disrespect women like this.

So I recently started looking for a new name. My old name for this blog was "Ms Jinga Lala" but that has since been overtaken by cricket...after I had it for 4 long years. So I can't very well go back to that without getting far too many cricket fans who get upset when they realize this blog has nothing to do with cricket lol. So I needed something more fitting and I've come up with the perfect name with the help of a few good friends I've made as a result of this blog. I would name drop but quite a few of them don't blog or prefer to remain anonymous but they know who they are and why I love them.

I feel this new name suits me and this blog quite well. The new name, American Punjaban PI, will be up and running in about 5 minutes. I have to change it after this post because if I don't my reader subscribers may not get the message. If you subscribe in a reader please delete your following for http://scandaloussneaky.blogspot.com once you read this message and subscribe to http://americanpunjabanpi.blogspot.com

It will only take you a few seconds to complete and I am sorry for any inconvenience but I don't want people avoiding my blog because they think it's some kind of dirty website and it was brought to my attention that some do avoid it for that reason.

This new name encompasses so much more of what I cover on this blog. First off it plainly indicates I'm American and that I have some connection to Punjab. The PI aspect covers the research and investigation I do of people and circumstances here to discover history and aspects relevant to my life. Not to mention the PI part also covers what my dream job and eventual career will be. I also think the name reflects well on the cross cultural aspects of the blog. I will be working to update other links (except Facebook since they won't let me change the URL) and photos and such with the new name in the near future. I'm going to get all new graphics and such as well. I hope you like them!

Thanks for following and here's to less sex starved man drama in my spam comments box and on my contact form. Thanks for your time in updating the links. Have an awesome day!

  2. at first I thought PI to be pi (the mathematical const), then i understood, given your background. anyway the new name is very nice. the old name was also nice, but cannot be your permanent name as it indicates nothing of your uniqueness or personality. there may be hundreds of white bhabi/aunti/jija/uncle/chacha/chachi/etc ... bhabhi refers to what someone else calls you, should not be your own chosen name.

and the pron angle is just perverted ... i have known very nice bhabhis and it feels like an insult when this perversion is implied.

and yes, what happened to the earlier comments ... will they migrate too ?

  6. Lol, I didn't think of that but you're right...so maybe I'll get some more educated traffic here instead of some of the naysayers I've been attracting lately lol.

  7. Okay, so I've now initiated the migration. They should update soon. Soon is all Disqus said lol so I have no idea how long soon is.

  8. I wish I could change the name of my blog, as you can imagine all the searches I attract. Alas, it's much to late for that! ;-)

  9. The nature of man is such that they can turn anything into an object of perversion. The beauty of being human is in our imperfection. Wish you all the best in your new blog avatar.

  10. I could only imagine the nightmare it would be for you lol. I have spent most of my day changing pictures, account names and all that just so people will know who I am on comments and such lol. I had no idea I had to sign up for so many commenter platforms to keep up with my blogger friends. I'm not done completely but I think I'm done for the day. I think you would need a few people to help you if you tried to change now. I think you'll do just as well with the new comment moderation though.

  13. I must have missed the moving post on your previous blog, but I found you. I enjoy reading your blog. Kinda reminds me of when I lived with my inlaws in Jordan.

  14. I had missed the moving post too. I had to google search and then find the link through the Facebook page. I am sure though that a little searching to find you won't discourage those who really enjoy your blog. Looks nice. I had no idea that there were not so nice connotations to the words bhabi and aunty. I feel a little disturbed by this.

  15. I'm glad you found me again then! I sent it out but I think blogger is slow in sending posts these days or something because it didn't go out instantly like they used to.
