They are Scheming Against Me!!

I can't keep a secret, I don't usually even try. Hubby usually has the same problem. The boy can't keep his mouth shut to save his life. It's a good thing he really has nothing to hide normally. But now he does and I'm really trying to be good but it's not working! It started like this.

My laptop battery just died. That's not abnormal but it's annoying as hell having to live a corded lifestyle until we find a new one. So hubby looked around and I checked some places and then he said something to his dad about it. So his dad says let me check around. After deciding that 5000 INR for a battery was too much and we would probably just tough this out till after the holidays and then purchase a new one we dropped the subject about a week ago.

Then hubby's dad says he's found one and he's going to get it - which he did and gave it to me already. Hubby tried to tell him no and his dad said "That's my daughter and you're not going to tell me what to do." LMFAO. I was cracking up when hubby told me about that conversation. So then the next day, hubby walks in from work and his parents are sitting on their bed talking about me. As soon as he enters their room they got quiet and, not being able to keep a secret, he come upstairs and told me.

Now I'm curious and I start asking questions. How did their faces look, was it good or bad, etc. He has no clue obviously but after pausing for a second said it seemed good. I let the topic go for a few and he went downstairs for something and when he came back I asked him if his mom said anything (coz she can't keep a secret either >:D). That's when he looked me square in the face and said "You need to stop asking."

OMG....WTW.....Stop asking? I'm not sure I can do that! I can deduce now for sure it's not bad (their conversation) but I wanna know. That means that truly nothing bad happened (in this case that would be the dreaded neighborhood gossip) by me leaving the house twice and walking to the store. And I can only assume they are not pissed about how often I forget to turn the gas off that leads to the geyser.

It's so close to Christmas and I don't want to get my hopes up about it being a surprise gift (like a laptop *fingers crossed* even though I know it will never happen). I also need to know something because if they are getting me a gift I gotta buy them something too. So far I hadn't planned to exchange gifts this year. Now it's almost time and they are keeping secrets from me. Bleh!!! This is almost as bad as when my mother put presents under the tree and dared us to touch the tape - she was good too...she used the cheap tape that shredded the paper!

So keep your fingers crossed...Bhabi wants a shiny new pink Vaio (since the purple is now gone).
:D

  3. I am guessing it was a nice thing they were talking about, they seem like nice people, probably discussing a present they will get you and maybe a present they would like you to give them, which is................. a baby!

  4. Oh yeah...I have a post coming about all this "news" they keep asking about lol. I'm sure it's good or Rohit wouldn't be able to keep it from me at all. He takes everything so much harder than he should if it's bad so I could have seen that in his face. The suspense is just killing me though lol.
