How to Get Ripped off in Delhi...AKA Purple Sparkly Elephant

Lol...okay so the original posts that brings all this up is located here if you really want to know how I got ripped off in Delhi. Yes, I am a little sick to my stomach after converting what I paid in rupees to US dollars but I couldn't help it. I am a sucker for anything purple and sparkly....and no I still don't have the shiny purple Vaio I wrote about a couple months ago!!! Ugh...I need that too lol.

The stone is Aventurine and you can read about it at the link below. Its supposedly lucky and you should never buy a lottery ticket without some aventurine in your pocket. Furthermore, the blue (yes it's blue but it looks purple to me and I like it) is supposed to bring about health and healing which I desperately need. Maybe that's why I found it so attractive lol.  It calms a troubled spirit and brings inner peace. Now you don't have to believe all that but I swear hubby was fussing about the price until he saw it and then he got all mesmerized for a minute too and hasn't said a negative word since. Win!

  1. Yeah I was amazed lol! He was speechless for a brief moment and now he's not complaining anymore. I've never seen that happen before so it was well worth my money.

  3. Wait...so it makes an Indian man stop fussing about money????? MY PRECIOUS!!!!! I NEEDS ONE!!!!

But really -- it looks very cool, and a stone's value is really just how much it's worth to you. So it sounds like this stone is worth a lot to you right now...so although you overpaid, you may have still gotten a good value!
